Brigadier General Arne Skjaerpe recently retired from the Norwegian Army in 2009 after nearly 27 years of service.
Most recently, General Skjaerpe served as a Senior National Representative to USCENTCOM in Tampa, FL. Bringing a broad range of management and leadership skills, he currently assists in formulating company-wide strategic direction and development initiatives.
Early in his career, he served as Operations Officer for Artillery Battalion/Brigade North Norway and Staff Officer P & P, Defence Command North Norway. General Skjaerpe also served as Chief of Staff, Norwegian Army Staff and Project Officer, Ministry of Defence.
Brigadier General Arne Skjaerpe received many decorations over the years with the most recent including, Defence Service Medal, The German Bundesverdienstkreutz and The US Legion of Merit.
General Skjaerpe attended Norwegian Military Academy, Army Staff College I and German General Staff College.
